Where do we go from here?

Where should we go from here?   Matthew 19: 16 Now behold, one came and said to Him, “Good Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?” 17 So He said to him,  “Why do you call Me good? [f]No one is good but One, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.” 18 He said to Him, “Which ones?” Jesus said, “‘You shall not murder,’ ‘You shall not commit adultery,’ ‘You shall not steal,’ ‘You shall not bear false witness,’  19 ‘Honor your father and your mother,’ and, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’  20 The young man said to Him, “All these things I have kept [g]from my youth. What do I still lack?” 21 Jesus said to him, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.” 22 But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.     Elisha – received his cap and gown, before he graduated. 1 Kings 19: 19 So he departed from there, and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, who was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen before him, and he was with the twelfth. Then Elijah passed by him and threw his mantle on him. -       He actually decided to skip college and be an apprentice of Elijah followed him. -       But Elisha didn’t want to just settle for the minimum. -       In 2 Kings 2, 3 times Elijah tried to go, but Elisha wouldn’t let him get far. 2 Kings 2: 9 And so it was, when they had crossed over, that Elijah said to Elisha, “Ask! What may I do for you, before I am taken away from you?” Elisha said, “Please let a double portion of your spirit be upon me.” 10 So he said, “You have asked a hard thing. Nevertheless, if you see me when I am taken from you, it shall be so for you; but if not, it shall not be so.”  11 Then it happened, as they continued on and talked, that suddenly a chariot of fire appeared with horses of fire, and separated the two of them; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. 12 And Elisha saw it, and he cried out, “My father, my father, the chariot of Israel and its horsemen!” So he saw him no more. And he took hold of his own clothes and tore them into two pieces.  13 He also took up the mantle of Elijah that had fallen from him, and went back and stood by the bank of the Jordan.  14 Then he took the mantle of Elijah that had fallen from him, and struck the water, and said, “Where is the Lord God of Elijah?” And when he also had struck the water, it was divided this way and that; and Elisha crossed over.       Jonah – had a scholarship to Nineveh College, but thought the grass was greener at Tarsus Tech. -       See God has a plan for you, but so does Satan. -       Satan as a roaring Lion, seeking whom he may devourer. -       John 10:10 says he is a thief (a robber) that comes to KILL, STEAL, and DESTROY YOU. -       Proverbs 14:12 There is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death. -       There are many voices. Go here, go there, Do this, Do that, Young people, you better make sure you know the voice of the Lord and cleave to everything He tells you to do!   Jesus came and impacted thousands.  After His death burial and resurrection, about 600 people decided to attend U P.  University of Pentecost.  -         600 dwindled to 120. 480 dropouts. 480 gave, up. 480 followed the crowd. 480 allowed others to influence them, instead of being a leader. -         But those 120 that tarried and didn’t give up, focused and pushed and prayed and came in one mind and one accord!!! -         Acts 2 – and suddenly….   Psalm 37:23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, And He delights in his way.   Exodus 20:12 “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you.   Matthew 6: 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.   Matthew 7:7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.  8 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.  9 Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone?  10 Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent?  11 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!  12 Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.   Matthew 28: 18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.  19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,  20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
