Beersheba means – Well of Oath or Well of Seven - Abraham is 100 when he took Isaac as a son. - Sampson took a lad. - Eli took Samuel who was a young man. Jesus quoted Isaiah in Luke 4:18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; Bridging the gap. Multi-racial, multi-generational, multi-talented, multiplication. Multi means more than one. At my age I sit in the middle of the teeter totter, one side is my youth. My zeal. My dreams and visions. Get the other side is the gray hair, wisdom from mistakes of the past, but most importantly understanding and respecting those that have pave the way for me to stand here today. Through blood, sweat, tears, prayer, fasting, and persevering, we stand here with the opportunity to leave the next generation something that money can’t buy. The methods change from generation to generation, but the message is still the same. Which group is smarter, which is wiser, which is stronger, which is more forgiving, which is more zealous, which is more encouraging? If we were in a tug-of-war, which side would win? If your life hung in the balance and you lean on one decision, in your tug-of-war of life, which side would you prefer to help you make that decision? Psalm 71: 17 O God, You have taught me from my youth; And to this day I declare Your wondrous works. 18 Now also when I am old and gray-headed, O God, do not forsake me, Until I declare Your strength to this generation, Your power to everyone who is to come. Psalm 145: 2 Every day I will bless You, And I will praise Your name forever and ever. 3 Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; And His greatness is unsearchable. 4 One generation shall praise Your works to another, And shall declare Your mighty acts. 5 I will meditate on the glorious splendor of Your majesty, And on Your wondrous works. 6 Men shall speak of the might of Your awesome acts, And I will declare Your greatness. 7 They shall utter the memory of Your great goodness, And shall sing of Your righteousness. Psalm 100:1 Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands! 2 Serve the Lord with gladness; Come before His presence with singing. 3 Know that the Lord, He is God; It is He who has made us, and [b]not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. 4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him and bless His name. 5 For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations.
