I saw God today, Part 4 “Whatever”

Romans 15:4 For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope.

Part 1 - We see God in 3 ways: 1. Compassion 2. Love 3. Order If you had a friend, who wasn’t saved and knew nothing of Jesus, and he ask you How can I see God today?  Husband – Wife – Child

Part 2 - 4. TRUTH You can’t get comfortable - The Chinese Revolution of 1949 created the People's Republic of China (PRC), a new government headed by the CCP and its chairman Mao Zedong. This revolution is the event that officially brought communism to China. Communist took over 500,000 Christians in China. Several years in, they did a count. The numbers did change. But went from 500,000 to 50 million!!!!

I saw God today, Part 3 The Matthew (18) prospective 1. Compassion 2. Love 3. Order 4. Truth 5. Change 5. – We see God in CHANGE – God likes to take NOTHING and make SOMETHING -       COMEPLETE CHANGE Luke 5:37 And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine will burst the wineskins and be spilled, and the wineskins will be ruined. 38 But new wine must be put into new wineskins, and both are preserved.   Try wearing the same shirt every day for a week.  -       Work hard in it all day and come home at night and take a shower.  -       Wear it again the next day and the next and the next and honey it doesn't matter how many times you shower if you don't change your shirt you are going to stink!

Matthew 18 deals with 5 areas

Who Is the Greatest?     Jesus Warns of Offenses          The Parable of the Lost Sheep          Dealing with a Sinning Brother   The Parable of the Unforgiving Servant

POINT 1. Forgiveness is only granted through humility. -         It is hard to forgive someone you feel superior to.

Point 2. Everything that God has invested in you… Will be demanded of you!

Forgiveness is to set a prisoner free, and to realize the prisoner was you. Corrie Ten Boom

I saw God today, Part 4 Whatever! Romans 15:4 For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope.

Whatever means – everything & anything

Everything & Anything   Mediate on these things

Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.   I saw God today

Follow all He says to do John 15:14 You are My friends if you do whatever I command you.   Colossians 3:23 And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men,

1 Corinthians 10:31 Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.                 I saw God today

Be content Philippians 4:11 Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: -         Some of you can’t see God because you are never content. -         It’s never good enough. (You have one car, you want two). -          When Alexander of Macedon was 33, he cried salt tears because there were no more worlds to conquer. I saw God today

Sell all you have Mark 10:21 Then Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, “One thing you lack: Go your way, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, take up the cross, and follow Me.” -          The see God – is not to see “Stuff” -          God’s not impressed with your bank account or house.

- GOD’S NOT IMPRESSED WITH WHAT YOU HAVE – BUT WHAT YOU GIVE - You can have all the knowledge in the World, but if you don’t share it with others it will die with you. -  Our graveyards are filled with ideas and knowledge that could cure cancer or build robotics that could change or World but were horded and not sown.

Do unto others… Matthew 7:11  If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!  12 Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets. -         Treat people the way you want to be treated. -         Some of you are mean and hateful and then wonder why you set at the table alone at night. We reap what we sow Galatians 6:7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. -         Sometimes we blame God for self-inflected wounds

He chose you John 15:16 You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.

Whatever we ask 1 John 3:22 And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight.   Mark 11:23   For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.

Matthew 21:22 And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.”

Matthew 16:19 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”   I saw God today

GOD IS IN   Whatever (everything & anything).
